Ponderosa Point is an estate acreage situated on the waterfront of Okanagan Lake in Kelowna, British Columbia. Construction of the estate commenced in the spring of 2004 and will be completed in the summer of 2010. Aptly named for the mature stands of ponderosa pine trees, the land is also home to many mule deer and other wildlife species such as fish, birds and insects. Particular attention was paid to protecting environment and lakeshore throughout the building process. The project comprises construction of the main residence, gate house, detached equipment garage, beach house and tennis courts. The main residence, designed in the european style, includes a spa complete with vanishing edge hydro therapy pool, 20 meter lap pool and a large recreational pool.

Construction and technology highlights include:

• Extensive use of structural concrete
• Rain Screen Wall construction used throughout the building envelope
• Natural building materials such as copper, slate, limestone and granite are used throughout the homes interior and exterior as well as extensive use of hardwoods such as alder, black walnut, cherry, red oak & white oak.
• Authentic european timber frame construction used in key areas for architectural detail
• State of the art geothermal, fire protection and home automation systems

It is not often one has the opportunity to build a home of this calibre and we feel very fortunate to have been a part of this magnificent project. We sincerely thank the owners for placing their trust in our company to build their new home in Kelowna.
