After subdividing the lot roughly in half the original home was stripped to its skeleton and renovated to a modern dwelling. A new home, pool building and detached garage were constructed to accompany the original home all while maintaining a similar look and shared access.

This property was purchased with an existing single home, originally designed by Canadian architect Arthur Erikson. After subdividing the lot roughly in half the original home was stripped to it’s skeleton and renovated to a modern dwelling.

A new home, pool building and detached garage were constructed to accompany the original home all while maintaining a similar look and shared access. The hillside site received extensive architectural concrete retaining, landscaping schemes, pathways and privacy features.

The latest home automation and high-efficiency mechanical systems are employed through use of on-site controls and mobile devices.

Virtually potable waste water from a portable type-3 treatment plant irrigates 1 of 2 green roofs and photovoltaic panels on an adjacent roof return current to the grid via net-metering. This project was completed in 2014.
